Melody…an introduction

Summer2012 041Me loved her Melody…  They had been  inseparable since birth.  She was her cherished, invisible friend.  Melody was a chickadee.  No one could see or hear her…except Me.
Together: they explored childhood. They giggled… they cried… they grew.  As time took Me from infancy  into adolescence, she feared that Melody would one day be gone: vanished from her life. She could not imagine life without her Melody.  “No one as an adult had an invisible friend”… she would tell herself.  Mama kept telling her that too. Continue reading “Melody…an introduction”

Melody, you are back….I missed you,  said Me.

I missed you too my child, said Melody as she perched her tiny body next to her.
This was Me’s favorite time of day.  The diamond’s had just ended their sparkling journey on the frozen ice and snow: they now having disappeared into nowhere. She always wondered where they went once they completed their twinkling performance.  The Sun was beginning to play with clouds in the sky creating soft pink hue’s.  Me was anxious…. She had something serious on her mind and immediately began to question.

Melody…Why is New Year’s Day such a special day?.. said Me.

Freedom and Me spent hours playing on the shoreline.  Me loved riding on Freedom’s back as he cantered along the water’s edge.  He was teasing her today. He would dash in and out of the water going a little deeper with each run.  His big ears were erect, taking note of the giggles and laughter coming from her warm body on his back. Today he allowed the spray from his hooves as they pierced the water to drench her tiny body.  He was giggling too. Continue reading “Question…”
